I hope you will join us for this unique knitting experience...next year! This year is sold out.
Embark on this season's journey and you'll knit your way thru some of Vermont's finest flocks, be intrigued by some really interesting knitting techniques and projects designed specifically for these yarns, and be visually dazzled by the exciting colors custom dyed for you!
Most CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture) offer produce.....locals buy into a share of an organic farm in the winter and then every week from early June thru November, they receive an abundance of lovely, locally grown organic produce to feast on based on what the farm has grown.
My version, the Vermont Yarn Club CSA, is similar in that it will offer members an exclusive knitting adventure each month throughout the winter! Not anything you can buy anywhere else! Starting in late August, and providing you with a truly unique knitting experience each month thru next March, I'll share a variety of special Vermont yarns....some custom dyed for the CSA, some custom spun for the CSA...and all featuring an original pattern (or 2!) designed especially for the yarn...delivered right to your doorstep each month!
Each yarn will be hand-dyed here (well actually, I did decide to keep one "au natural"!) to offer you a range of color experiences! From the soft earthy palette I'm dyeing my organic Merino yarn with (using some of the dye plants I grow here at the store as well as a couple plants non-indigenous to Vermont so you'll have a range of washfast colors to play with) to the intensely deep & saturated colors I blend for my lovely and lustrous Border Leceister yarn. And because I'm dyeing each yarn exclusively for the CSA members, you'll have some input to the color choices you receive each month!
Each month's patterns, yarn and dye technique will be unique so you'll never get bored, ensuring a variety of knitting that will keep your fingers happy all winter long. Each month you'll receive a lovely yarn and a couple of patterns designed for the yarn, so you'll have choices about what to use the yarn for.
If you're ready to treat yourself to this knitting adventure, get more details and your passport here!
