Washboards These glass washboards are a great tool for heavy felting....when I felt boots, slippers and rugs, this tool makes all the difference in time. There are smaller ones out there and there are metal ones, but nothing works, in my experience, like these glass boards. I never use them with nuno felt, or when I felt hats or bags or material for jackets, all of which are lighter weight and I find I get great shrinkage with the car mats, but for all my heavier work, I find this tool a huge help.
