1. My Girl

"My Girl." Knitted and some crochet, as well as
embroidery. It has been great fun!

2. Perky Mermaid

..attached please find pictures of my entry "for the home". I think my mermaid turned out kinda cute and perky. I don't feel I can complain since she is the first doll I have ever made. Her ultimate home will be my daughter's room (she just had her 1st birthday).

I used all of the materials specified. My "add" was some Lily Sugar and Cream crochet cotton in ecru.

3. Hot Pink Bowl

Thanks for the inspiration to try something new. I'd never done an I-cord before. I'd never done a project that I consider "art-knitting" before. It was great fun...
I'd like to enter my hot pink bowl into the "For the Home" category. Thanks!

4. Wind

It is titled "Wind" and should be entered into the "For the Home" category.

5. Wild Rose Rug

I call it a wild rose rug. I haven't decided yet whether "wild" applies to the roses or the rug. It's for the category "FOR THE HOME."

Comments: The trickiest part was finding a way to showcase the exuberant fibers -- the hot pink silk hankies and the handfuls of yellow-green locks. I finally settled on hot pink roses. I knit the roses from combinations of the ribbon, crocheted lengths of mohair, and all that pink silk, which I was amazed to find I could tug into long strips. The locks are the rose leaves. For sturdiness, I sewed the roses to a small knitted rectangle, made from left-over fibers, and wound the i-cord around them, whip-stitching as I went. Sometimes I let the stitching show; it improved the color transitions, I think. The rug is about 32x28 inches.

6. Coucou the Cat

I used the "kit" of materials that you had for sale, plus polyester fiberfill.
My entry should be in the "For the Home" category.

I named my fiber feline friend "Coucou the Cat"! I have been using crochet to make "softies" and amigurumi creatures for a while, but never with these kinds of materials. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot - will probably reuse some of the things I learned here in other projects. And, my kitty, like me, likes jewelry and is wearing a bracelet of felted beads. :)

7. Willow Tree in the Sunset
I have entered the for the home category with my piece I call Willow tree in the sunset! It looks so much better in person than in the photo! Its a canvas piece with stocking knit stitch and garter stitch aspects. the blue/green sky and river is garter stitch and the sunset is in stocking knit stitch. I really enjoyed creating the willow tree with the green curlies! I hope you enjoy my piece! thank you I had a fun time creating this piece!
included are the pictures.
