3rd Biennial Fiber Challenge Six months ago, 347 fiber enthusiasts from around the country signed up to participate in the 3rd Biennial Fiber Challenge (no fee to participate was collected nor was a purchase required). They were asked to create something using yarns of the split complement shown below in the given assortment of textures also shown below, plus they had to use a handful of raw locks and a silk cocoon! They were allowed to add 1 item of their own choosing. Some terrific prizes were offered to the creations which garner the most "kudos" from peers. Kudo Casting ran from Jan 4 - Jan 15th. Click on any of the Category Titles below to view again what all the participants made. Some of the races were really really close...the winning entry only beating out the next most favorite by a single vote or two! Every creation garnered numerous votes and I received lots of emails and comments in the store from "onlookers" about how fantastic everybody's submissions were. So KUDOS TO ALL who stuck with it and were able to make sense out of the fibers, colors and textures required! And the winners are........(pictured with the prizes they won)
