Superbowl/World Series/4th July Beer Cozy

Materials: 1 sk Lopi-lite (this is a great project for using up odds and ends of worsted weight 4.5st/inch yarn)

Needles: US 6 dpns

Gauge: 6 sts/inch (this is tighter than you'd usually knit this weight yarn...but that makes it nice and snug and insulating)

Dimensions: perfect for a beer bottle

Cast on 42sts and join in the round.

Work *k1 p1* rib for 5 rows.

Work stockinette stitch for 25 rows.( Here is where you could put in a design/logo if you chose to, or work stripes or a fair isle pattern).

Work *k1 p1* rib for 7 rows.

Purl 1 row (this makes a nice neat turn before working the botttle bottom decreases)

Row 3: *k4, k2tog*

Row 4: *k3, k2tog*
