Belgian Waffle Neckwarmer Materials: 1/2 skein of Swoon Silk/Merino Needles US 8, or as desired Cast on 18 sts Set Up Row: *k1, yo, slip1* Row 1: k1, *slip the yo, k2* end slip the yo, k1 Row 2: *yo, slip 1, yotog* Row 3: k2 slip the yo* Row 4: *yotog, yo, slip1*
Repeat rows 1-4 for 18". Bind off loosely, knitting together the YO of the previous row with the nearest knit stitch and binding them off together. Finish by either crab stitching, crocheting a slip stitch, or picking up and immediately binding off along both "raw" side edges if you feel like your edges are not "smoooth" enough. Notes: sometimes the YO looks like it is before a knit stitch because of the way it angles on the needle, so if the row you're on says to k2, be sure you knit 2 stitches, DO NOT knit a yo...all yo's are either slipped or knit together with a knit stitch. yo = yarn over = bring the yarn forward between the needles and then over the right hand needle to the back again before you do the next stitch yotog = knit the yo together with the next knit stitch
