Kathryn Alexander Kits

These kits feature hand dyed yarn and a pattern designed by Kathryn Alexander. The yarn comes from sheep raised on her brother's Montana ranch, she has it spun (I believe here in Vermont) and then she hand dyes dozens of fabulous colors and packages them into fun sock, hat, scarf and workglove kits. Two styles exist for socks: either the anklet or full sock and several styles exist for hats: peaks or square. The scarf kit is similar to her feature design in Scarf Style. All kits feature some entrelac design...some flat and some 3-D. Every hat, work glove or sock kit is packed with different colors, all chosen by Kathryn so you know they'll be great. The photo below gives you an idea of the color schemes, but you can't order on line by color. No two kits are ever exactly alike, so I can't post or offer specific color combinations for you . Sweater Kits: Price: $324

These are big projects, but lots of fun and interesting to knit. And a great weight sweater to wear...knit in fingering weight yarn on US 2-4 depending on your gauge, it has a great drape when its done and you'll have lots of time to savor the wonderful colors as you knit.
