Learn-to Knit Socks Kit You must already know how to knit the basics for this kit. A solid foundation in how to do the knit and purl stitches, cast on and bind off is essential. This kit will walk you through turning a heel and grafting the toe. The kit includes the self patterning yarn that knits up as shown below, needles and the How to Knit Socks booklet, which includes instructions for a sock along with great visuals and supporting text. Two different versions of the kit are available. The first includes double point needles (as pictured) and the other includes 1 long circular needle. The book shows 2 different methods of knitting socks....the traditional way using 4 double pointed needles as well as the "magic loop" method of knitting socks using just 1 very long circular needle.
