Swirl Shawl This interesting shawl is knit in a modular way...segment by segment...but picking up and knitting off one unit to start the next so that you don't have to sew all the pieces together at the end. This relatively simple lace pattern is knit using double pointed needle (US6). Like the popular boku mitered afghan kit, with just 15-20 minutes of knitting you can knock off a unit or two and have a great sense of accomplishment at each step along the way to finishing the entire project! Available in 5 gorgeous colors of machine washable merino yarn , each ball grades from shade to shade producing a wonderfully rich fabric. Finished shawl measures approx. 20" in width and 66" in length. You could use the kit to make 2 scarves if you prefer...each scarf would have 2 rows of motifs (so about 6" wide) but longer....more like 74" long.
