Cormo - SOLD OUT

This brilliantly white and crimpy cormo fleece is very fine...perfect to spin a fine laceweight or a softly spun and lofty worsted or bulky yarn woolen by long draw!

Cormo typically has a micron count of 17-23 and it's fine and well defined crimp makes for nicely elastic yarns with good memory. The Cormo was orginally developed in Tasmania by crossing superfine Saxon merino ewes with Corriedale rams. With such fine and crimpy fiber...a little goes a long way! I'll never forget my ever wiser sister chuckling when I told her I'd bought an entire 12 pound merino fleece from Australia. Two years later while I was still chipping away at it and dyeing to move onto another fiber I understood why!
