Fibers

From luxury to basic, fibers for beginners to advanced alike...

Treat yourself to some luxury fibers. A little goes a long way with any of these exotics...just 4 ozs of any of yak, cashmere, alpaca, camel, cashgora, or the hand-dyed bombyx merino blends makes a beautiful shawl. If spun fine, 2 ozs of these will do a great scarf. And if you'd like to experiment with a bit of several of these luxury animal fibers, check out the Gora-Gora-Yakalcashel Hat Kit. Just one hank of the hand-dyed merino bombyx makes a beautiful lace scarf. In May 09 we're adding specific breeds of sheep...so if you've wanted to try a particular breed, but don't want to buy a whole fleece, we're selling unwashed, undyed in 6 oz increments. Just the right amount...easy to wash, easy to hand card and enough to spin and knit a hat, mittens or nice scarf! All the wools here felt well, unless indicated and there are some great silks and embellishments for felting as well...you just have to scroll down a ways!
