Polwarth

Polwarth is a relatively fine fiber (21-26 microns) and great for next to the skin projects. Developed by crossing fine merino with merino/Lincoln sheep, this breed is common in Australia and the Falklands.

This Polwarth is packaged in 3 feet lengths. Each one weighs about 8 ounces. Each bag offers a fun range of hand dyed Polwarth wool. As you can see from the photo below, in which I choose 5 bags randomly, each bag has a range of the color wheel and each can be a bit different from the last one.

These are great for felters or spinners who want smaller amounts of lots of color to design unique and colorful yarns or felt items.

If you are looking for a handpainted or solid colorway rather than a random assortment of colors, check out the Merino Sparkle and Blue Face Leceister tops....both good for next to the skin yarns or felt.

Price: $33.50/bag of 8 oz.
