Araucania Aysen

Looking at it online just doesn't do this yarn justice! It is just the silkiest, softest alpaca to feel. It really has a beautiful hand that just can't be conveyed on line. This wool/alpaca/silk blend is kettle dyed in Peru and knits at 4 sts/in on a US 9. Each skein holds 191 yds. The natural variegation in this yarn produces some beautiful patterning. Shown below in a cabled cardigan and a turtle neck that features both seed stitch and stockinette stitch. The cable pattern is sweet (see closeup below) but not seen as well in this variegated yarn as it would be in a solid color. Be sure to look at the skeins and/or models up close (click on each photo) to see what variation you can expect. Price: $16.00/sk Figure 6 sks for a 40" chest sweater.
