Arequippa Wool/Silk

This lovely 90% superwash merino wool is blended with 10% bombyx (mulberry) silk. It has a lovely ply and a great hand.

I noticed several women's clothing catalogs were featuring "neutrals" for this fall 2016. I tend to go for a pop of color, myself, when knitting an accessory like a cowl. But when my sister was looking for a project to knit for the store, I gave her two skeins of Arequippa to knit this ravelry pattern (I forget the name so I'll update it next week) to knit this versatile cowl/wrap. Because it is based on a drop stitch rib, it has a lot of "expansion" and can be worn down around the shoulders or doubled up around the neck for a really warm cowl if you like!

I have Arequippa in 5 lovely neutrals to complement a few other new fall '16 yarns that I have ordered in a neutral palette.

Check back as those arrive, but for now, here is Arequippa!
