Heritage Sock Handpaints This merino wool -nylon yarn is incredibly soft but has a high twist so it should wear really well. I'm not a huge sock knitter, but I knit 5 or 6 socks this spring for our Sock Day and LOVED knitting with this yarn (I have finished this beaded sock, but haven't gotten around to taking a new photo of it). There is also a solid version of this yarn available. With 437 yards/sk, it knits at 8 sts/inch on US 1-3. . Price: $ 17.50
