That's right, the mahogany and sage colors are not dyed but are naturally occuring native colors of Peruvian cotton. The marl colors are yarns made from a ply of natural white plus a ply of either the sage or mahogany, resulting in a slightly lighter shade of the natural color on its own. This yarn knits nicely at 3.5sts/in on US 10 or 4 sts/in on US 9. The Incan Shell model shown took 2 sks for a women's medium (shown in a color no longer stocked) and is available as a kit - see Incan Shell.
