Home > Yarns > Yarns by Noro > Kogarashi by Noro This 49%wool & 51% silk yarn knits at 3-3.5 sts/in on US 11, so it is similar to Iro, but is not quite as dense and is "tweedier". New for Fall 2010, this yarn has support in both Noro's Vol 28 & 29. And of course, could be used for any Iro pattern as well. The lacy patterned slouch hat (really adorable on) below took about 3/4 of a skein (70 gms)....so buy 2 sks and you can either make 3 hats or this hat and a scarf! It seems quite a bit softer too.
