Vermont Border Leicester Yarn

This local flock of Border Leicesters produces a yarn with a lovely luster and great hand. Although this breed in general is not very soft, this flock is finer than many I've seen. I dyed the yarn here in colors that reminded me of the seasons of Vermont, with the idea that they could be used in a series of hat, wristlet, mittens and scarf patterns I have designed and which will be available as kits (check back August 1st). But of course the colors can be bought individually (see last box in table) and could be used in any way you like! Please note that there are not enough of any one color to do sweater projects. Each skein has about 95 yards and it knits at 5 sts/inch on US 7. $9.99/skein
