Vermont Wool Yarn

This 100% Vermont wool (border leceister cross) was raised in Hinesburg, I had it spun in New Mexico and then dyed here at the store. It may be one of those yarns that's hard to appreciate over the web....its incredibly lustrous and remarkably soft. It knits up nicely in stitch patterns as shown below, but looks equally great in a simple stockinette stitch because the yarn is so gorgeous. The colors aren't grouped in any particular way or for any other reason than it was convenient to photograph them in batches as I dyed them. They all work really nicely together because they are of the same saturation and all have the same percentage of black added. So put your own group together and treat yourself to a really special sweater! The natural white skeins have 400 yards each; the dyed skeins we wound into 185 yd/ 4 oz skeins. It knits at 4-4.5 sts/inch on US 8 - 9 needle. Natural white sks with 400 yds each: $30 Dyed sks with 185 yds each:: $18.99/sk
