Falkland Chunky by Queensland
I brought this bulky gauge (3-3.5 st/inch) yarn in to replace the Cascade 128 which I'd had for years but started hearing a lot about pilling issues with it.
This yarn is spun from Falkland wool which has good length and lustre along with a good degree of softness from the merino genetics in there! The longer staple length and good twist that the mill puts on this yarn should make it more durable than the 128 was.
It has a great hand - in fact a customer who came in looking for the 128 last week and purchased the Falkland in its place even took the time to call me to say how much she liked knitting with it!
Expect 3-3.5 st/inch on a US 10 - 11, depending on how you knit. 131 yards per skein.
