This has been a popular yarn for newborn hats - 1 skein and less than an hour and you can have it done! And how adorable for the co-worker, neighbor, friend or family member that has just announced they are expecting!
I have customers who knit one of these as a break in between bigger projects - it gives them a chance to relax with a no brainer while they contemplate the next garment and they love having a few on hand to pull out as a quick gift for the parents-to-be.

The yarn is recommended knit at 4.5 sts/inch, but I think that is too loose and prefer it at 5 - 5.5. It is 100% wool and machine washable. Each 50 gm skein has 137 yards.
