Kureyon
Great fun to knit, garments made in Kureyon take on a new look with every row. From simple but interesting stripes in a felted bag or basic sweater pattern to more intricate patterns, this yarn is always fun to knit and weave with.
I've knit garments side to side and on the bias with this yarn as well as along with a solid for a "faux fair-isle" effect. It's great for afghans - particularly in a ripple stitch or in modular knitting. And I've woven with it as well - in both warp and weft, as seen in the scarf in the gallery. It is fun to use for intarsia, too, as you can see in the wrap here. We used to use it here in the beginning knitting class when a felted bag was the project because it felts well too.
The Noro mill in Japan is careful to select only organic wool raised on ranches where NO mulesing is done. And for those knitters that have been around for a while and remember a coarser Noro from decades ago, you may want to give this another try as the wool used is now merino and so softer than you might remember!
Kureyon knits at 4.5-5 sts/in on US 7-8. 110 yards per ball. Available in a great range of interesting colors....you can't go wrong.
