Katia Paper Shoulder Bag This summer bag is crocheted out of Katia's 100% Paper yarn. It is machine washable. It features a pocket and short shoulder strap and is quite sturdy....made holding 2 strands together. Entirely in single crochet, it is really simple, even if you're new to crochet. A slip stitch provides definition to the bottom so that it stands flatly on its own and an optional picot edging (not shown on either photo below) can be worked around the shoulder straps, top edge and pocket flap. Dimensions approx. 4" gusset x 10" x 12". The strap is just right for carrying by hand or snuggly under the arm, tho' there is enough yarn to make the strap a couple of inches longer if desired (if you want a much longer handle, you'd need to supplement with an additional skein, which could be purchased separately on the yarn page). The kit comes with 4 sks of yarn (pick 2 colors below if you want to grade the bag the way I did, OR, pick 1 color as your Main color and then be sure to choose "0" for your contrast color if you want just a 1 color bag) and the pattern. If you order 2 colors then you get 2 sks each of the 2 colors. If you order 1 Main Color and "0" contrast color, then you get 4 sks of the Main Color for a 1 color bag. Button not included.
