Harrisville Wool

Now softer than ever (this yarn is spun mostly from merino wool), this worsted weight 100% wool yarn knits nicely from 4-5 sts/in and is available in lots of great colors. It is a bit heavier than Cascade 220 and has a more "rustic", less processed look to it. With 200 yds/sk, plan on 7-8 for a women's medium sweater. The cabled sweater shown below uses 8 sks for a finished 44" sweater and can be bought as a kit - see Harrisville Cable. Each 3.5 oz skein has 200 yds. $9.99/sk.
