Pima Rino by Plymouth
This 40% merino wool/60% pima cotton yarn is a very versatile yarn. It is machine washable making it a great choice for baby and children knits. The merino content gives the yarn the quality of memory/elasticity that 100% cotton yarns lack, making this blend more forgiving to knit with compared to the 100% cottons. And the cotton content makes this a great choice if you run hot and all wool is too much for you - or if you're knitting for someone in a milder climate than northern VT! And here, it is a great weight for those transitional months of March - May and Sept - Nov.
It has been a favorite for adult garments both because it has lots of great classic and elegant neutral shades to choose from for that "go-to" sweater every wardrobe needs! And, as you can see from the garment model detail to the left, it has a nice stitch definition too.
It is also available in a Tweed version, tho' I offer that only at the shop (I think there are 4-5 colors of the tweed available here) and not online.
