This new line of yarns created by Fiber Co focuses on delivering sustainable and high quality yarns at affordable prices.
Available in three gauges:
an aran (4-4.5 st/inch), a d.k. (5.5/inch) and a superbulky (2-2.5 sts/inch).
The pattern support Fiber Co has developed for this new line features accessories and garments that can be done in any of the three gauges of yarn! And each pattern shows you a few different interpretations of the pattern - for example in the gallery of photos here, the Purls of Wisdom sweater designed for this line of yarns is shown three different ways. And in addition to giving you a few different design options, the pattern has instructions for all three gauges of yarn!
The d.k. is recommended knit at 5.25-5.75 st/inch on a US 5- 6. It is a 55% wool, 35% alpaca and 15% linen blend with a nice twist that has a really nice feel and should show stitch definition nicely.
Each 50 gm ball of the d.k. has 137 yards and retails for $8.50
The aran is recommended knit at 3.75-4.5 sts/inch on US 7-9. It has a gorgeous ply and really lovely hand - it's my kind of yarn for a garment! Structured with a good hand!
Each 100 gm ball of the aran has 164 yards and retails for $18.00
The Super bulky gauge is 100% wool & is recommended knit at 2-2.5 sts/inch on a US 15.
Each ball has 87 yards and retails for $16.00
