One of the very first Noro yarns, Silk Garden is a 45% kid mohair/45% silk/10% lambs wool blend that is popular for garments and accessories alike.
The scarf shown here (4 sks yields approx 8"x54") shows how this yarn will knit up - it yields a gradual gradation thru colors. For a bolder effect, choose 2 different colors and alternate knitting 2 rows from 1 color with 2 rows from the other! Or knit it on the bias for a lovely diagonal!
Noro wool is all sourced from mulesing-free ranches and all their animal fibers (i.e. including the mohair in silk garden) is organic.
Recommended knit at 4.5 - 5 sts/inch on a US 7-8, this is a popular yarn for garments and throws/afghans.
There is a version of this yarn available in solid colors, called Solos. The two work beautifully together.
