Felted Tweed by Rowan
Felted Tweed by Rowan is a hugely popular, decent value yarn for a classic knit. It is available in both a solid tweed, as well as one that grades gradually thru several hues. The latter are referred to as Felted Tweed Colour.

Both versions are recommended knit at 5.5 - 6 sts/inch and each has 195 yards per ball.
Both are the same alpaca, wool and viscose blend that is soft, but has some structure. And, it's machine washable!

The two pair nicely together in color work: pick a solid for the background and let the Colour gradation do the work in the design, whether it be mittens or a yoked sweater!

As you can see from the pink/blue cowl shown in the gallery here, the color change is gradual. No distinct stripes in the Colour version! The cowl was knit just using 1 skein .
