Cascade 220 Sport
This lighter weight version of the classic worsted weight Cascade 220, this sport version is spun from the same Peruvian Highland wool as the original, but this version is spun to a lighter weight gauge of 5.5 - 6 sts/inch on a US 5-6 needle.
As with the worsted weight, my shipment in early January experienced a tariff increase, so while this product was $5.99 in December, it has just gone up to $6.50. Still a great value for 164 yards of lovely wool. And the price increase here is not different than other items in our daily lives!
Great for a light weight, indoor sweater and also light enough that it's a great choice for working stranded knitting for some great Latvian, Norwegian, Swedish or Estonian mittens if you aren't quite ready to work at a 7-8 st/inch gauge yet!
